Way back in 1984 I took a motorcyle tour out West from Chicago with my original destination to be Yellowstone National Park. After I crossed the Mississippi River I pulled into a Gas station and three other Motorcyclists pulled in after me. The 4 hour ride was gruelling due to constant 40 mph cross winds. We started to talk and these fellows were from Naperville like I was so we teamed up together until we were to part ways. They were headed to Colorado I to Yellowstone.
As we were going to depart our seperate ways we pulled into another gas station. They had been trying to convince me to tag along with them, when I heard over the radio at the gas station that Yellowstone had just recieved 4 feet of snow, I decided to go with them.
Quite an adventure. I saw this old pickup truck at one of our camp over sites. It's sole job was to haul fire wood up the hills 6 blocks away. The little town I forget the name but it had a population of twenty at the time. It was about 30 miles from Pitkin Colorado. Entropy on display with this old pickup truck next to a cedar barn.
This is an acrylic painting on a gessoed Masonite panel. It has been prepared according to strict professional standards and should out last oil on canvas and be easier to maintain. If the painting becomes soiled, simply dust it with a clean cloth; at most, a damp rag or a weak soap solution.
DO NOT USE A HARSH OIL CLEANING SOLVENT.
